While doing a little recreational birding before atlasing, I found a Black-billed Cuckoo in downtown Westport this morning.
Bluebirds in the area have increased to 5 (maybe 6).
Other migrants: a singing Red-eyed Vireo, Nasheville Warbler, Canada Warbler.

- I have lived on Long and Brier Island most of my life and I love the natural beauty of our islands and the waters that surround us. I have worked as a stewardship officer of the Brier Island Nature Preserve for the Nature Conservancy of Canada, naturalist guide for many whale watching companies in our area, wrote a book entitled"Brier Island's Wildflower Field Guide", and volunteer for many nature organizations such as: N.S Bird Society, Environment Canada Species at Risk, GOMI-Gulf of Maine environmental youth program.I have won the Bay of Fundy Education and Awareness award and strive to tell as many people of the importance of stewarding and preserving our area for the next generation to enjoy as much as i do.
