Humpbacks and Minke Whales
Today i went out whale watching on the 10:30 cruise with my husband. We steamed down to gull rock and sighted a humpback whale named Tab. Tab is a male and has been coming here for a long time. It was good to see him again. He was traveling along bringing up his tail alot making his way further down below. Then we sighted two more humpbacks and found out it was Baton and Gremlin both males.
We also had good look at a Minke whale on our way down towards the humpbacks and some harbor porpoises. Seabirds in the area today were: Sooty and Greater Shearwaters, Northern Gannets, Red Phalaropes, 1 Puffin, and Wilson storm petrels. We also had a hummingbird buzz by us.
