Todays Sighting on the Bay of Fundy

Hi Everyone
Just got back from a beautiful day on the water. I went out with my husband on Brier Island Whale & Seabird Cruises and we sighted 7 humpbacks, 2 Minke whales, Lots of Red-necked Phalaropes, Red Phalaropes, Puffins, Sooty and Greater Shearwaters, i noticed that the sooty shearwaters are outnumbering the greater shearwaters this year. Lots of Harbor Porpoises. We started out in the Saint Mary's Bay and had good views of Greenhead and then we then we come to green island ledges where grey and harbor seals hang out and lay to. Lots of little ones in this area. We then motored off to the rip and that is where we sighted lots of whales. Many more were blowing in the distance but we had to come in to take out another cruise. We also had some lunge feeding by two humpbacks one was peajack the other was mocha and lots of Sooty shearwaters following them. Here is some of the whales we sighted today, flame, luna, flash, gremlin, peajack.
I also had a black-throated green warbler almost fly into my head and a barn swallow fly by! Just goes to show you never know what you are going to see on any given trip.
